201 Stainless Steel Coil is primarily composed of iron, containing approximately 18% chromium and less than 0.15% carbon. It also includes small amounts of manganese, nickel, silicon, nitrogen, and copper. Compared with 300 series stainless steels, 201 stainless steel coil offers better formability and can be effectively strengthened through cold working processes, although it cannot be heat treated in the same manner as 304 or 316 stainless steel grades.
As a high-manganese, low-nickel stainless steel, 201 provides a cost-effective alternative to higher nickel stainless steel materials. While its corrosion resistance is lower than that of 300 series stainless steels, it still offers good mechanical properties and practical durability for many applications.
Due to its excellent formability, flexibility, and economical cost, 201 stainless steel coil is widely used in tabletops, countertops, kitchen utensils, outdoor decorative projects, urban decoration works, and economical household products.
