PPGI Steel Sheet refers to galvanized steel sheets (GI) that are coated with one or more layers of colored paint. It is a type of color-coated steel product that extends the properties of galvanized steel by adding an additional decorative and protective coating system.
The full name of PPGI is pre-painted galvanized iron. It uses a zinc-coated steel substrate that is first cleaned and pre-treated, then coated with primer and top paint layers through a continuous coil coating process. This improves both appearance and durability while maintaining the corrosion resistance provided by the galvanized layer.
PPGI steel sheets combine the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel with a wide range of color and surface finish options, making them both functional and aesthetically versatile. They are widely used in roofing systems, wall panels, door frames, appliance housings, interior decoration, and general construction applications. In production, PPGI is typically supplied as coils and can be further processed into strips, flat sheets, or corrugated sheets depending on application requirements.
